Develop Players
Luca Formica
Develop-Players is a university spin-off born out of the Department of Psychology at the University of Bologna. Our mission is to make the assessment and support for neurodivergent kids more accessible, empathetic end engaging, through play. We design AI-powered software and applied videogames that help clinicians, schools, and families identify cognitive strengths and challenges early, and support children and adolescents through effective, evidence-based interventions. Our main products so far are SAM (for neuropsychological screening) and Eye-Riders (for training attention and executive functions).
"Receiving this recognition from Intelligence++ is an incredible honour for me and the entire Develop-Players team. We started with a simple but powerful belief: that play is the most natural form of learning and therefore it can be a serious tool for change in the neurodivergent community. This award validates the direction we've been working towards — from the lab at the University of Bologna to the hands of families and clinicians across Italy and soon, we hope, the world. We're just getting started, and moments like this fuel our drive to keep pushing boundaries for the children who need it most."
